On Sunday, there were claims that the NEET UG 2024 paper was leaked on social media

Amidst swirling claims on social media regarding a potential paper leak of the NEET UG 2024 Examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has stepped forward to address and refute these allegations. Despite reports circulating online, NTA has firmly denied any such incident occurring during the NEET UG 2024 Exam held on Sunday.

The controversy stemmed from an incident at the Girls Higher Secondary Model School in Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, where an error in the distribution of question papers by the Center Superintendent led to some candidates leaving the examination center with question papers. Despite efforts by invigilators to prevent this, the situation escalated, raising concerns about the integrity of the examination process.

However, NTA has stressed that this incident was isolated and did not compromise the integrity of the examination at other centers nationwide. The NEET (UG) 2024 examination, which took place in 557 cities across India and 14 cities abroad, proceeded smoothly and peacefully in all other locations.

In response to the incident, NTA has released a public notice reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the integrity and fairness of the NEET (UG) examination, which serves as a crucial gateway for medical aspirants across the country. The agency has assured stakeholders that proactive measures have been taken to address concerns and uphold the principles of fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates.

Specifically, NTA conducted a separate examination for approximately 120 affected candidates from the Girls Higher Secondary Model School examination center on Sunday, May 5, 2024, to ensure that their academic aspirations remain unaffected by the incident. This proactive approach underscores NTA’s dedication to conducting examinations with transparency, integrity, and fairness.

Despite the challenges posed by the isolated incident, NTA extends its best wishes to all NEET (UG) 2024 candidates and assures them of continued support throughout the examination process. The NEET UG 2024 exam, which saw the participation of approximately 24 lakh students, was conducted in a single shift from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm.

In conclusion, while the NEET UG 2024 examination faced a minor setback due to the incident at one examination center, NTA’s swift action and commitment to fairness have helped mitigate the impact on affected candidates. As the examination process progresses, NTA remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the integrity of one of the nation’s most critical entrance examinations.
